Goin' Fishin' by Brightwell

A country boy and his dog on their way to a fishing hole, articulates the ideal American scene.  Without surprise, one of the most popular prints adorning the walls of American homes in the latter part of the 20th century was Goin’ Fishin’ by Walter E. Brightwell (1919-2005), published by Donald Art Company of New York.  Matthew’s Galleries is fortunate to have acquired the original painting by Brightwell from which countless thousands of prints were reproduced.  The signed oil on canvas measures 24” x 48”, and is complemented by a 4” wide gold-finished frame.  Available, and on exhibit in the gallery, the price quote is by request.
