Every attempt was made to carefully acknowledge the piano’s association to the Opera House. Therefore, it is important to note that the piano retains its’ original keyboard, the same one which has accompanied the opera world’s most celebrated artists such as Montserrat Caballé, Maria Callas, José Carreras, Placido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, Renata Scotto and Renata Tibaldi under the direction of Herbert von Karajan. The piano has performed to the baton of acclaimed orchestra directors Leonard Bernstein, Riccardo Muti and Seiji Ozawa among others. 

Known as the “Roll-Royce of fine piano brands”, this one of a kind Bosendorfer grand piano was totally and masterfully renovated in a style that harkens back to Bosendorfer’s great historical past from the beginning of the 20th century.

As for the value of the brand, this is perhaps the most “Bosendorfer” Bosendorfer that has ever been made available. Verification of this brand is further witnessed with the Bosendorfer logo on the piano’s sound board and its serial number for clients with only the highest, most discriminating taste.

To ensure that the piano was not only beautiful, but fully functional, the six month renovation started with restoring the glorious sound and mechanical action that is part of the Bosendorfer legend. Using only authentic Bosendorfer parts, the piano’s entire acoustic action was repaired and replaced. The piano’s outer case was refinished using rare and exotic redwood, with intricate hand carved inlays on the piano lid, key cover and music desk. Period correct inlay is also found on the piano’s legs, pedal lyre and even on the adjustable artist style bench. The inner case is lined in beautiful Sappelle Maple. The incredible woods and artistic craftsmanship of the entire case is beautifully enhanced and protected with the highest quality high gloss finish available today.
