As the leaves begin to fall this October, Fuller's Fine Art Auctions anticipates a colorful auction season. Highlights in Fuller's October 16 sale are two early Cy Twombly works on paper, (each estimated at $25,000-35,000). The artist created these works while exhibiting at Galerie Friedrich & Dahlem in Munich in 1964.
Among the many fine paintings from the 20th Century, Fuller's will feature those of two important Cuban artists. A leader of the Cuban "Vanguardia" movement, Victor Manuel is represented with two paintings, In the Park ($15,000-20,000), and an Untitled pensive portrait of a young lady ($20,000-25,000). Notorious bohemian, Fidelio Ponce de Leon, is likewise represented with two paintings, Devotional ($6000-9000) and La niña Amadita ($5000-7000).
