The Lyme Art Association’s most festive art exhibition and sale is their annual Deck the Walls holiday show, on view November 14, 2014 through January 3, 2015.  Over one hundred original works of art by member artists will be on display and priced to sell as holiday gifts. Also on view will be Celebrating Lyme’s Beauty, a special exhibition of paintings showcasing the natural splendor of the Lyme-Old Lyme landscape. An opening reception will be held on Friday, November 21, from 5-7pm.

“The Deck the Walls exhibition offers patrons and art lovers from throughout Connecticut and New England an opportunity to view and buy exceptional representational art at prices which make heartfelt gift-giving easy,” states Joseph Newman, Executive Director of the Lyme Art Association. “And this year, we’re thrilled to add Celebrating Lyme’s Beauty, an exceptional showcase of the local landscape created during a two-day ‘paint-out’ hosted by the Lyme Land Conservation Trust earlier this autumn.”

Lyme Art Association Member Artists of all levels (Individual, Associate and Elected) are invited to enter the Deck the Walls juried exhibition. Artwork will be accepted on November 8, from 10am to 5pm and November 9, from 1 to 5pm. Artwork for Celebrating Lyme’s Beauty will also be accepted during those times. Anyone interested in submitting artwork may join the Lyme Art Association as a member on receiving day in order to be eligible.
