Matthew’s Galleries is pleased to announce the acquisition of an important corporate collection of Northwest late 20th century paintings.  Major Northwest artists included are Kenneth Callahan, Carl Morris, Louis Bunce, Michele Russo, Alden Mason, and Jack Portland.  The collection of 28 works also includes Marlene Bauer, Michael Dailey, Robert Baribeau, Michael Gibbons, Cie Goulet, Fay Jones, and Michelle Taylor.  Many of the paintings are large and important, including a 60" x 120" oil by Jack Portland titled "Vincino di Qui" and a Carl Morris acrylic measuring 72" x 96".  The artworks are immediately offfered in the retail gallery for a limited time, and those not sold will soon be scheduled for the gallery’s September 20, 2011 fine arts auction.  Prompt inquires are suggested.
