Antiques Weeks Media, LLC, is pleased to announce the launch of a smart phone-friendly version of the destination website and guide to Asia Week, AsiaWeekNYC.com. The site is the fourth in a series of websites designed to assist cultural travelers and collectors shopping antiques weeks, including AmericanaWeek.com and PhiladelphiaAntiquesWeek.com.
With thousands of American and International visitors and Chinese buyers being welcomed to New York for a full week of Asian art exhibitions, educational events, auctions and shows, the independent website and app, AsiaWeekNYC.com, fulfills a much needed demand for an independent, inclusionary resource.
"The New York celebration of Asian arts is a phenomenon recognized worldwide," Eric Miller, co-founder of Antiques Weeks Media, LLC, said about the events that take place this week, March 16 - March 25. "My partner, Regina Kolbe, and I are committed to providing a comprehensive overview of the goings on for a global audience." By accessing the website, collectors can see at a glance the events on a day-by-day basis.
The co-founders state that the website aggregates the results of several campaigns, including Asia Week New York, the Japanese Art Dealers Association, and the Arts of Pacific Asia, while providing exposure for new participants such as the Asian art dealers at the Stella Pier Show.
The site also provides insights into the highlights of the prominent auctions at Bonhams, Christies, Doyle, Gianguan, I.M. Chait and Sotheby's.
Original content designed to provide insight and learning experiences for both collectors and new audiences provides a platform for expanding the Asia Week experience. The often under-played educational and entertainment events of the week receive coverage on AsiaWeekNYC.com as well. This includes introducing visitors to under utilized sites such as the New York Scholars Garden on Staten Island.
As the week comes to a close, AsiaWeekNYC.com will increase its coverage of regional resources that contribute to a broad appreciation of Asian culture, art and heritage, such as the newly reopened Chinese Galleries at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City.
The events of Asia Week can viewed at AsiaWeekNYC.com or AsiaWeekGuide.com. The mobile version of the site can be downloaded by scanning the QR code on the homepage or clicking download.
