Kim Martindale & John Morris Launch "The Antique American Indian Art Show Santa Fe" To Run August 20 & 21

Filling a void left by the cancellation of a show Kim Martindale helped originate 30 years ago, Martindale and Morris follow their highly successful five year old Objects of Art Santa Fe with The Antique American Indian Art Show Santa Fe, August 20 and 21.

The show will open Tuesday, August 19th with a 6 pm to 9 pm preview to benefit Santa Fe's Institute of American Indian Arts. The $50 per person ticket to the preview party can be purchased at the door or reserved on line: www.antiqueindianartshow.com 

The Antique American Indian Art Show will then run at El Museo Cultural on the Santa Fe Railyard, Wednesday, August 20 and Thursday, August 21, from 11 am to 6 pm each day. Tickets are $13 per person, run of show, or $10 per person if purchased through the show's website: www.antiqueindianartshow.com   

The Antique American Indian Art Show Santa Fe, is already attracting many of the Country's major galleries of Native American Art including New York City's Alaska on Madison and John Malloy Gallery; California's Philip Garaway Native American Art; Clear Sky; and Frank Kinsel Antiques; and Arizona's Turkey Mountain Traders, and John C. Hill Antique Indian Art. Ramona Morris Fine Art of Delaplane, VA will show, as will four Winds Gallery from Pittsburgh, PA. Major New Mexican galleries include Calabaza, Coulter-Brooks Art & Antiques; Economos Works of Art/Hampton Gallery; Robert Gallegos; and Morning Star Gallery.

The show will provide an historical dimension to the works of living artists presented at Santa Fe's Indian Market which opens Saturday, August 22. It also shares The Railyard with the recently created Indigenous Fine Art Market, August 21-23, to be held adjacent to the El Museo Cultural site of The Antique American Indian Art Show.

The Margaret Tafoya pottery Loan Exhibit for 2014 mounted for Objects of Art Santa Fe will remain on view during The Antique American Indian Art Show Santa Fe, and an additional loan exhibit is being mounted by the Institute of American Indian Arts.
