Early Highlights Announced of Jackson Hole Art Auction

On Saturday, September 13, 2014 Trailside Galleries of Jackson, WY and Scottsdale, AZ, in partnership with the Gerald Peters Gallery of Santa Fe, NM are pleased to present the eighth annual Jackson Hole Art Auction at the Center for the Arts in downtown Jackson Hole.
The annual live auction has quickly become one of the premier western art events in the country, defined by the high standard of works offered by both contemporary western artists and deceased masters.
The auction has already confirmed important works by Oscar Berninghaus, John Clymer, Bob Kuhn, Ken Riley, Richard Schmid, and more. Highlights to date include Bob Kuhn’s “Resting Cat”, a 22 x 42 acrylic on board estimated at $250,000-$300,000. The painting was the last Prix de West entry the artist completed in his lifetime, and was awarded the Major General and Mrs. Don Pittman Wildlife Award. Other highlights include John Clymer’s “Buffalo Chase” a 10 x 20 oil on canvas estimated at $75,000-$125,000, and Richard Schmid’s “Yellow Roses”, a 20 x 30 oil on canvas estimated at $75,000-$100,000.
