Inside Sotheby's Second Annual Designer Showhouse

Sotheby’s will present its second annual Designer Showhouse from April 11-19, 2015, in which thirteen interior designers and design firms will each curate a room on the fifth floor exhibition space of the Manhattan headquarters, culminating in a dedicated auction on April 20, 2015.
Each space, ranging from a bedroom and living room, to a dining room and library will evoke the designer’s unique aesthetic.
Designers have selected items from an array of categories offered by Sotheby’s with estimates ranging from a few thousand to $250,000 - English & Continental Furniture, 20th Century Design, Contemporary and Impressionist Prints, African and European Sculpture, Carpets, Old Master Paintings, Latin American Paintings, Ceramics and Silver – all of which will be available for purchase in the April 20 auction.
Sotheby’s invited members of the design community with a broad range of artistic approaches and experience, including Cullman & Kravis, Juan Carretero of Capital C Interiors, Russell Piccione of Russell Piccione Design, Allison Caccoma of Allison Caccoma Inc., Ashley Darryl of Ashely Darryl Interiors, Gaggenau, Janine MacMurray and Scott Francis of Area Interior Design, Robert Dean Harris of Harris Dean Interiors, Leura Spielman of Laurel & Wolf, Trey LaFave of Trey LaFave Architecture and Interiors, Eric Cohler of Eric Cohler Design, St. Charles of New York in collaboration with CURATED Creative Director Lindsey Schwartz, Meredith Ellis of Meredith Ellis Design and Hanna Packer & Susan Cohen. The exhibition will be open to the public from Apr. 11-19, 10am to 5pm, at the York Avenue headquarters in New York.
