Lyme Art Association’s First Impressions Exhibition is a juried exhibition of the Association’s Associate Artist members, accomplished artists who have been successfully exhibiting in selective shows at the Lyme Art Association for at least four years. This exhibit will include a variety of media and themes: landscape, portrait, and still life paintings, as well as sculpture. In addition, the six new Elected Artists who were inducted in October 2019 will present their work in the Goodman gallery. This year well-known and award winning artists Thomas Adkins, Howard Park, Bob Perkowski, Deborah Quinn-Munson, Diana Roberts-Paschall and John Traynor joined the ranks of Lyme Art Association Elected Artists. Both exhibits run from January 17 through February 28.

"The Annual Associate Artists Exhibition highlights the range, creativity, and excellence of our Associate Artist members. This exhibition includes a variety of subjects, media, and styles: paintings or sculptures that capture the range of human emotion, the beauty and grandeur of the Connecticut landscape, or the personal objects and surroundings of everyday life," states Jocelyn Zallinger, LAA’s Gallery Manager. “The New Elected Artists show in the Goodman Gallery promises to be impressive; our new class of Elected Artists is very accomplished!”

The opening reception for both exhibitions will be held on Sunday, January 26, from 2 pm to 4 pm at the LAA, 90 Lyme Street, Old Lyme, Connecticut. First Impressions and New Elected Artists are on view from January 17 through February 28.
