The fourth edition of Art Antiques London takes place once again in one of London's most fashionable neighborhoods, situated alongside The Albert Memorial, an important historical site in Kensington Gardens, London.
Lauded as a commercial and aesthetic triumph year after year, Art Antiques London has earned praise for its exceptional location, ethereal ambiance and sumptuous variety.
The fair offers an exciting, multifaceted experience for collectors, curators and art lovers, making it one of the top collecting destinations in London. Art Antiques London has been particularly successful in attracting serious buyers, both private and institutional and delivering consistently strong sales for its exhibitors.
In addition to a high level of returning exhibitors, the Haughtons look forward to welcoming new UK and international participants to the Fair. These include the Maastricht based gallery Roell Fine Art, which specializes in furniture, paintings and works of art from the trading posts of the Dutch and English East Indian Companies, and Sabbadini, the popular Milanese jewellery specialists. Among the new UK dealers to the fair are two Old Master paintings specialists John Mitchell Fine Paintings and William Thuillier Old Master Paintings. The fair also welcomes Muse, the Sculpture Company and Jeanette Hayhurst Antique Glass. New ceramics dealers attending are John Howard, Rodney Woolley and AD Antiques Ltd. UK jewellery dealers Grima, Sandra Cronan and Lucas Rarities Ltd will be returning, as will ceramics dealer Christophe Perlès from Paris. Joining them are furniture dealers Mackinnon Fine Furniture Ltd and Christopher Buck Antiques, Asian art experts Laura Bordignon and Mary Deeming, Indian jewellery specialists Susan Ollemans Oriental Art and Samina Inc.
Singled out for particular praise each year is the lecture programme, which from its inception at the first Art Antiques London event in 2010 has been applauded for its variety, scholarship, and the appearance of world renowned expert speakers on silver, sculpture, jewellery and ceramics. The 2013 programme will be the strongest to date, and one of the highlights is a lecture on Russian Imperial Porcelain and sculptures inspired by Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes given by Dr. Ekaterina Khmelnitskaya, Curator of Russian porcelain at the State Hermitage Museum St Petersburg.

One of the most spectacular and anticipated aspects of the June Fair is The Party in the Park event that takes place this year on the 11th June, in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, GOSHCC. This year the money raised will support child health research and the development of breakthrough treatments for children. For more information about Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, go to www.gosh.org. The champagne reception is followed by a dinner, auction and live entertainment, which, in the past three years, raised over £1.25 million for charity.
