FINE ART ASIA 2011, the only fair in Asia showcasing Fine Art and Antiques, will present its strongest ever line-up, with over 100 renowned dealers from Asia, Europe and the USA.
Now in its 7th edition, FINE ART ASIA 2011 has grown in size and stature, with more participation by leading international galleries and a high level of quality unprecedented anywhere in Asia. Over 5,000 works of art will be exhibited, with a total value of over HK$2 billion.
FINE ART ASIA 2011 takes place at the peak of the important art auction season in October in Hong Kong, and attracts major dealers, collectors and connoisseurs from both Asia and around the world.
The fair will showcase museum-quality Asian and Western Antiques and Art, ranging from ancient Chinese and Himalayan bronzes, Chinese ceramics and works of art, furniture, textiles and jades, to fine art jewellery, antique silver and exceptional Old Masters, Impressionist, Modern and Contemporary paintings and sculpture.
Contemporary art dealer, Sundaram Tagore, who has supported FINE ART ASIA since its inception in 2006, said, "I believe this is the most important and beautifully presented fair in Asia and that is why it is billed as the 'Maastricht of Asia'."
New exhibitor, Lewis Smith of Koopman Rare Art, London, said, "With the recent excitement in great English silver developing in the Far East, we are thrilled to find a high-quality exhibition to show rare and highly-collectible pieces of great English silver."
Andy Hei, founder and director of Fine Art Asia, said: "We are delighted to welcome a record number of leading international galleries from all over the world. Our policy has always been to develop the fair gradually by concentrating on quality, to promote Fine Art Asia as the authoritative fair in Asia for dealers and collectors at the top end of the market.
"Hong Kong is the centre of the art market in Asia and plays an increasingly important role in the global art market. Fine Art Asia 2011 provides the perfect platform for international galleries to do business with Asian and especially Mainland Chinese collectors."
