Building an Affordable Art Collection: Understanding Today s Art Market
Carole Pinto
Carole Pinto Fine Arts
BOOTH #1528
The premise that one has be rich in order to purchase museum quality art is put to rest thanks to a lively presentation given by art dealer and adviser, Carole Pinto, President of Carole Pinto Fine Arts LLC. She will use paintings in her collection to illustrate ways to develop a critical and discriminating eye in the selection of artwork, factors that determine value in a work of art, and how to build a collection that will increase in value over time.

Presentation Copies: It's Not Just A Signed Book
Joshua R. Mann
B & B Rare Books
BOOTH #2417
Signed books have always been very desirable, but there is a spectrum of importance and value depending on the manner in which a book was signed. A book that is not only signed, but inscribed to someone notable or influential during the author's life can place a book in an entirely different league of value. We will be discussing these important signed books with examples in our booth.
Friday, August 26 - 3:00 PM
Uncovering unsolved mysteries through the eyes of historical artifacts-
The Hindenburg Disaster Log
Steve Epstein & Dr Gerald Barkan
Your Piece of History
BOOTH #2141
The crash of the Hindenburg in 1937, and the fact that the cause has never been determined, forever changed the course of aviation. The original scorched flight log removed from the crash by the Engineer (on exhibit at the Show) reveals critical data regarding issues with the airship.
Research has uncovered that one of the issues cited in the log is actually listed in the official crash investigation report as a potential cause of the crash. Can this Log be the “Smoking Gun”?
