Art Market San Francisco, May 15-18, 2014

Art Market San Francisco, in its fourth edition, will return to San Francisco’s Fort Mason Center’s Festival Pavilion on May 15 – 18, 2014.

The Bay Area’s only contemporary and modern art fair, Art Market San Francisco will welcome over 70 established galleries, as well as innovative newcomers from across the country presenting a significant selection of contemporary and modern works of art.

Art Market San Francisco is also pleased to announce their continued partnership with the de Young and Legion of Honor, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, as the 2014 beneficiary of the Opening Night Preview. This year, to the pleasure of gallerists and art enthusiasts alike, the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco Board of Trustee members Jacqueline and David Sacks will serve as co-chairs for the Opening Night Preview event, which last year garnered approximately $40,000 for the Museums’ New Acquisitions Fund.

Art Market San Francisco relocated to Fort Mason Center’s Festival Pavilion in 2013 in response to increased popularity and here it will continue to provide greater exhibiting opportunities for gallerists as well as an improved ease of access for the fair’s growing numbers of visitors, which exceeded 20,000 in their third season. Drawing on their market knowledge, the success of their Miami Project 2013 and their network of national resources and advisors to ignite interest from both active and new collectors, Art Market Productions’ founders Max Fishko and Jeffrey Wainhause are thrilled for Art Market San Francisco to return to the Bay Area with an exciting range of galleries, including Catharine Clark Gallery, Paul Thiebaud Gallery and Romer Young Gallery (San Francisco, CA), Nancy Hoffman Gallery (New York, NY), Edward Cella Art + Architecture and Kopeikin Gallery (Los Angeles, CA), plus newcomers Mark Moore Gallery (Culver City, CA), New Image Art (West Hollywood, CA), Pentimenti Gallery (Philadelphia, PA), Jonathan Ferrara Gallery (New Orleans, LA) and Richard Levy Gallery (Albuquerque, NM).

Along with the exceptional exhibition programming, Fishko and Wainhause are pleased to announce that The Battery, San Francisco's new multi-disciplinary social club, in collaboration with design house Ken Fulk Inc., will transform the 2014 VIP Lounge. The Battery will also be conducting a series of Art Market San Francisco tours for their members throughout the weekend. Art Market San Francisco also welcomes SFC&G (San Francisco Cottages & Gardens) magazine as this year’s Design and Media Sponsor and their contribution to envisioning the central lounges at this year’s fair.

Art Market San Francisco is very pleased to be in continued collaboration with previous partnerships and to forming new ones with arts and culture organizations throughout the Bay Area and Silicon Valley which include; Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, Crocker Art Museum, San Jose Museum of Art, Berkeley Art Museum, Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Center for Visual Arts, The City of San Jose Public Art Program and ZERO1. In addition, Art Market San Francisco is engaging with a number of the Bay Area’s leading corporate brands including Google, Yahoo!, Twitter and Gap Inc. in an effort to continue bringing an even greater sense of regional inclusion and excitement to the fair.

Presenting a full schedule of curated programs and events throughout the duration of the fair, Art Market San Francisco will feature a timely series of presentations created in collaboration with participating galleries and artists, as well as with cultural partners and sponsors. Preliminary program scheduling includes a special artist presentation, talks by Bay Area curators, and the return of the MRKTworks Charity Auction, a philanthropic arm of Art Market San Francisco.
