Jacob Hashimoto: The Other Sun
Ronchini Gallery, in collaboration with Studio la Città, is proud to present The Other Sun, the first UK solo exhibition of international artist Jacob Hashimoto from 29 June –28 August 2012. For this exhibition Hashimoto has built a new site-specific installation compromised of hundreds of small bamboo and paper kite elements. The installation investigates themes evidenced in his previous work as he continues to explore his fascination with the intersections of painting and sculpture, abstraction and landscape. Based in New York, Hashimoto has exhibited at numerous museums, public institutions and galleries in the USA and Europe. Hashimoto works using traditional kite-making techniques on a grand scale from his studio in Brooklyn.
