http://www.haughton.com/

Clive Kandel, renowned jewelry historian and 1stdibs.com Fine Jewelry curator, will reveal the secrets and glamorous liaisons of some of the world's most coveted jewels and silver treasures spanning historic, aristocratic and royal provenance. Whether it's the world's most expensive sterling silver tableware or priceless jewelry connected to royalty and social climbers and A-listers from ages past, Kandel will draw from the numerous time periods represented at the fair for his tour and presentation while offering fascinating, yet unheard of, gossip and behind-the-scenes perspectives about society and fashion. Kandel's tours are scheduled for Friday, October 25th, at 5:00pm and 6:00pm and Sunday, October 27th at 11:00am. Among the most engaging items included in Kandel's curated presentation will be a peacock feather diamond necklace made by Boucheron (1883) for Grand Duke Alexis Romanov, who was banned from the Imperial Russian court for his excessive spending on mistresses, for his mistress the Duchess of Leuchtenberg (Sandra Cronan UK, dealer).
