Galerie Michael of Rodeo Drive is honored to announce its presentation of Barbizon: The Birth of Impressionism, featuring paintings by Bonheur, Chaigneau, Diaz de la Pena, Dupre, Huet, Jacque, Troyon. This extraordinary collection is simultaneously on exhibition & available for acquisition at Galerie Michael beginning on November 11th, 2011 and extends through December, 2011. This is the twentieth major catalogued Barbizon exhibition that Galerie Michael has the honor and distinction of presenting, and the collection has been carefully curated with input by the world's preeminent Barbizon and pre-impressionist scholars, experts and conservators. The exhibition premiers with a gallery reception and lecture on Saturday, November 12th at Twelve Noon, and is a rare opportunity to view and acquire works from the extraordinary collection in a gallery long considered to be the consummate dealer of the artworks of the Barbizon School.
