STEP09 - Fourth Edition
Step09 was founded on 2009 from the need to build a platform devoted to contemporary art, capable of connecting the market and the exhibitions with performances and special events, thus providing to an audience of collectors, art lovers and practitioners a new way to approach the world of contemporary art. This set-up will be repeated also in the next edition of Step09, that will take place in Milan from the 22nd to the 24th of February, 2013. Compared to the previous editions, the most important novelty is the location hosting the art fair: “La Fabbrica del Vapore” with its most striking area, “the Cathedral”. 1,600 square meters obtained thanks to an extraordinary renovation of the industial area will host 60 galleries, both Italian and foreign, chosen through a careful selection, that will offer to the audience an unmissable event with the works of well-known artists and emerging talents. Each gallery has to propose a solo exhibition or a project with a maximum of three artists, and at least one work should deal with the environment and sustainability, main themes of next edition.
