ASIAN ART in BRUSSELS
Asian Art in Brussels (AAB) the world-renowned fair of Asian art and antiques will take place from 4th to 8th June 2014 in the Sablon, Brussels. Providing a platform for the promotion, exhibition and sales of Asian art, AAB will be held alongside two other key cultural events: Brussels Ancient Art Fair (BAAF) en Brussels non-European Art Fair (BRUNEAF). These three art fairs will come together in early summer under the collective name of 3 Fairs, creating a unique event in the world of antique and art fairs. For almost a week, approximately 100 established international art dealers gather in Brussels, making Brussels an important destination for art enthusiasts, museum curators and collectors from all over the world. For AAB 2014 no less than 23 leading international dealers will be showing their most recent acquisitions. This year, we are delighted to welcome several new exhibitors joining our well-established group of art dealers who will be presenting their collections in galleries in and around the beautiful Sablon area. All the art for sale has been vetted by a panel of international specialists and is registered on the compulsory ART LOSS REGISTER to ensure quality, authenticity and provenance. Following on the remarkable success of the 2013 edition, AAB and BAAF will be offering a programme of Art Lectures given by specialists in Asian Art and Archaeology. Hosted in the beautiful art nouveau building of the Musical Instruments Museum the Art Lectures are co-organised with IBHEC (Institut Belge des Hautes Etudes Chinoises) and BIAPAL (Brussels International Art Promotion and Logistics). These are part of an extensive cultural programme entitled ArtConnoisseurs. Videos of the lectures will be placed on the websiteswww.asianartinbrussels.com and www.ArtConnoisseurs.eu for the pleasure of art lovers. A remarkable success was achieved last edition in 2013 with a large number of viewers of the videos of the lectures, the interviews and the highlights of selected artworks.
