This is Welsh artist Brendan Stuart Burns' first solo London exhibition. Burns uses painting, drawing and ceramics to evoke the beauty and drama of the natural world, particularly inspired by the Pembrokeshire coast in Wales. Burns communicates closely with the local ecology, even pressing sheets of porcelain into rock crevices and later painting and firing them to produce delicate ceramic shapes. He is inspired through observation of the powerful flux of coastal tides and winds, ever-changing sand and pebbles, vegetation lining the water and the shimmering light on the spindrift bubbles of the sea. There will also be drawings and sculptures presented in this selling exhibition so there is the opportunity to purchase work from a contemporary artist.
