John J. Enneking (1841-1916): The Moods of New England
John Enneking, New England's most prominent landscape artist of the late 19th century, had a stylistic foot in both the pre-impressionist and impressionist worlds of the period. His frequent journeys to Europe beginning in the 1870s exposed Enneking to nearly every major artistic movement during this time of radical experimentation. The Moods of New England, our sixth exhibition of the artist's work since his death, features over fifteen landscapes that illustrate his diversity of style, and demonstrate his extraordinary talent for capturing the many moods of his native surroundings. Viewable November 3-December 31 in the gallery and on our website: www.vosegalleries.com. A full-color catalogue will be available for $10 p.p.
