The lady with violets in her mouth, the gents in bowler hats, the pipe that isn’t a pipe, the breast that isn’t a breast: They’re all here.
Rene Magritte, one of Belgium’s best-known artists, finally has a standalone museum devoted to his work, opening today in Brussels. The place has a spooky air about it. It reminds me of an amusement-park fun house -- full of pleasant thrills, titillating and humorous.
