The Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam is restoring one of Vincent Van Gogh's most famous works. While "The Bedroom" is out of view, the museum's staff will keep the painting in the public eye with a blog about the restoration process.

The new blog, called "Bedroom Secrets; Restoration of a masterpiece," has just launched with a video and some history of the work, including ideas on the causes of damage. (One tidbit: The craquelure and paint loss, beyond typical age wear, may be due to the flooding that occurred near Van Gogh's home.)
