America's oldest hostelry hosts new antiques show

Longfellow's Wayside Inn in historic Sudbury, Mass., is holding its inaugural Antiques Show May 14 through 16. Nearly 50 premier antiques dealers from around the country will offer American art, American and European furniture, ceramics, silver, books, jewelry, folk art and more.
American paintings will be strongly represented with such exhibitors as Vose Galleries, Walker-Cunningham Fine Art, Cooley Gallery, among others. The full list of exhibitors will please collectors used to the line-up of Boston's Ellis Antiques Show (postponed in 2009) and the top New York antiques shows held each January.
The inn's scenic 122-acre campus is a charming destination with a storied past. Outbuildings include the water-powered Gristmill and an 18th-century one-room Schoolhouse. Poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow immortalized the legendary 290-year-old inn and tavern with his "Tales of the Wayside Inn.
Skinner's is sponsoring this fundraising event for the Wayside Inn, a nationally significant historic landmark.
