Buckingham Palace will be bedecked with its best art and accoutrements for the April 29 reception celebrating the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
In the Palace's Picture Gallery -- where the multi-tiered fruity wedding cake will reside -- works by Old Masters like Canaletto, Rembrandt, Rubens and Titian will be on view from the British monarchy's collection.
"Whenever we have a special event at Buckingham Palace we make sure that the greatest artworks are on display and make sure people are going to see the best of Buckingham Palace,'' said Jennifer Scott, assistant curator of paintings at the Royal Collection.
