Deactivated Lock Helped Art Thieves, Museum Says

An electronic lock deactivated after an alarm was triggered, allowing two thieves to raid Rotterdam's Kunsthal museum last week.
The Dutch museum issued a statement on Monday saying that the thieves overpowered mechnical locks after the electronic lock opened to comply with fire safety standards.
The two masked bandits were in and out within two minutes, taking with them seven modern masterpieces on loan from the Triton Foundation Collection.
Police report 60 tips in connection to the Oct. 16 robbery.
