Picasso Vandal to Appear in Court

A Texas resident who defaced a Pablo Picasso painting at the Menil Collection last June turned himself in at the border of the U.S. and Mexico where he had been hiding out.
Uriel Landeros, 22, may face two felony charges of criminal mischief and felony graffiti. He faces up to 10 years in prison, if convicted.
Landeros, an artist who was studying at University of Houston, spray-painted "conquista" -- Spanish for "conquered" -- on Picasso's "Woman in a Red Armchair" at Houston’s Menil Collection on June 13.
Another patron at the museum caught the incident on his phone.
Worth several million dollars, the painting has been restored.
