More than 90 photographs from the corporate art collection of beauty product giant Avon will be offered at auction this fall.

‘Works from Avon Collection’ will include nearly all of the company’s photography collection, with works by significant female photographers such as Imogen Cunningham, Louise Dahl-Wolfe, Berenice Abbott and Cindy Sherman.

On Tuesday, Sept. 10, Freeman’s in Philadelphia, Pa, and Wayne, Pa, will sell the works with a portion of the proceeds going toward the Avon Foundation for Women, which supports breast cancer research and programs for ending domestic violence.

‘Beauty through the eyes of women’ is the theme of the Avon collection which also includes sculpture, painting and other works on paper. The upcoming sale is the first auction of works from the collection.

The rest of the collection resides at Avon’s global headquarters in Manhattan.
