A Norman Rockwell painting valued at about $1 million was stolen from a storiage facility in New York City.
Authorities say the painting, titled "Sport," was discovered missing from Welpak Art Moving and Storage facility in Queens on Sept 13. The work was about to be shipped to its unnamed new owner who purchased it at a Sotheby's sale earlier this year.
One of America's most recognizable artists, Rockwell signed the 22-by-28 canvas oil painting that depicts a fisherman in a yellow raincoat sitting in a rowboat. It was a Saturday Evening Post cover in 1939.
