Newtown Antiques, Garden and Jewelry Market,. June 21

Barn Star Productions and the Newtown Historical Society are broadening plans for the first annual Newtown Antiques Market, scheduled for Saturday, June 21, adding garden antiques, jewelry and decorations to the offerings at the Newtown, Conn., show.

Centrally located in New England, the show offers collectors a perfect antiquing weekend getaway or day trip destination.

"This show will also have a residual mission of bringing an upbeat and fun event to the communities of Newtown and Sandy Hook," says organizer Frank Gaglio, refering to the community where the December 2012 school shooting tragedy took place.

June is the time for putting the final touches on summer gardens and the Newtown Antiques Market will showcase benches, urns, sculpture and planters which are easy and fun design elements for any outdoor living space. There will also be a selection of jewelry for summer entertaining dazzle.

Dealers specializing in these categories may inquire for the few spaces left by calling 845-876-0616 or 914-474-8552.

Comments show manager Frank Gaglio, “We are very pleased with the excellent line up for this new show and have room to expand with exhibitor interest continuing to grow. The Newtown Antiques Market was born out of dealers requesting a show in June that is one day, centrally located in a great community, cost effective and targeting real collectors with diverse interests. The Newtown Antiques Market fulfilled all of their criteria plus it benefits the Newtown Historical Society - but first and foremost will be the wonderful antiques our exhibitors will be bringing for sale now including garden decorations and furniture so plan to spend the day”.

The show will also include participation of several community organizations including the Newtown Firemen’s Association, Lions Club and Newtown Historical Society creating a fun and festive day for everyone to enjoy rain or shine.
