"Deborah Solomon has been desperately trying to outrun the truth ever since American Mirror, her biography of my grandfather, Norman Rockwell, came out last November," writes Abigail Rockwell in the Huffington Post. "But the truth is catching up with her."

Rockwell says, "Solomon's biography is one of the biggest non-fiction literary snow jobs in the last 50 years -- it makes the James Frey memoir debacle look like child's play."

She goes on to debunk Solomon's  "spurious theory...that Norman Rockwell was a repressed homosexual with pedophilic impulses." Rockwell says she has found 263 errors in the biography, so far, and has personally scoured archival material to uncover what she calls "misquotes," "omissions," "insinuations," and other errors by the author.

Solomon's biography was nominated for a Los Angeles Times Book Award in April, and was also up for a PEN award.
