RJG Antiques / Russ and Karen Goldberger Launch Year-End Website Sale With Free Shipping and No Payments for 6 Months

Russ and Karen Goldberger/RJG Antiques year-end sale starts today and runs through December 29. Everything on their website is discounted at least 30%.

The Goldbergers have been pioneers in selling American folk art and decoys on the Internet, launching their first website (www.RJGAntiques.com) almost 20 years ago. This year, their website offers a better viewer experience with larger photographs and the ability to zoom over sections of a photo for greater detail. Russ Goldberger says, “We want to provide prospective purchasers with the most information possible, recognizing that viewers can’t handle our pieces themselves. Our larger professional quality photographs and thorough, guaranteed descriptions make this an easy process.”

During the sale, the Goldbergers website shows the normal retail price and the sale price which will be reflected when you check-out through their secure e-commerce shopping cart. Everything (including furniture) sold during the sale is shipped for free in the Continental U.S.

If purchasers wish to extend or delay payments, every sale item is linked to PayPal Credit. If a customer qualifies, no payments or interest is charged if purchases are paid for within 6 months.

The sale was launched with an email newsletter this morning to over 3,500 collectors and dealers who have a business relationship with the Goldbergers, and the early response has been very positive. “Collectors have become comfortable buying antiques and decoys on the Internet. Just observe the amount of activity surrounding Cyber Monday. We offer collectors a website environment with full descriptions, professional photography, and of course our ironclad guarantee,” says Goldberger.

“During past sales, we have been able to entice people who have been considering an item to make the purchase. Free shipping is the icing on the cake.” In one case, Goldberger made a sale to a new client he did not know – who coincidentally lives only a block away. “It’s hard to imagine reaching more people more quickly than through the Internet,” concludes Goldberger.

Goldberger has been supplementing his normal advertising and website promotion with Facebook and Twitter postings. RJG Antiques has a strong support base of followers, and they are growing consistently.

For over 35 years, Russ and Karen Goldberger have offered quality American antique decoys and folk art in original paint. Their website offers 250 examples, all of which are on sale through December 29.
