Debbie Turi Announces New Boutique Antiques Show in Ridgewood, NJ, June 6-7.

Debbie Turi and Brad Reh have successfully teamed up to run a couple of shows; the Art, Design, and Antiques Show at Wallace Hall during Antiques Week in New York, and the Bedford Antiques Show at Historical Hall in November. Now Turi is striking out on her own, and is managing the first annual Art & Antiques Show at the Ridgewood Woman’s Club in Ridgewood, New Jersey on June 6-7. Turi is a young and energetic face in the roster of antiques show promoters, and she brings her twenty years of experience as an antiques dealer to her management. “I approach this endeavor with a new and fresh mindset to create the best boutique show in New Jersey. Dealers are clamoring for a new venue,” she said, “one which is both intimate and accessible to the Metropolitan New York audience.”

The venue is the prestigious Woman’s Club of Ridgewood, New Jersey. Established in 1909, the members strive to promote civic and social causes. The clubhouse, where the show will be held, was built in 1928 and features many architectural details that will set off the items displayed by the selected group of art and antiques dealers.

Donna Kmetz will be displaying art of the 19th and 20th centuries. Her specialty is New England landscape paintings from that period, with a penchant for works that were painted en plein air. Jaffe and Thurston will be showing art as well, with an emphasis on scholarship and documentation of their offerings. Along with art, they display 19th century ceramics and glass. Other exhibitors in art include Vintage Poster Arts and Ann Hall Antique Prints. Ingeborg Gallery of Northfield, MA, are specialists in American prints from 1860-1960. In addition, they have American drawings, watercolors, pastels and oil paintings. They are known for finding great images by lesser known and upcoming artists and they maintain an inventory representing over 300 artists. William Jeffrey Gallery of Florham Park, NJ will be displaying 20th century art, ceramics, and sculpture. His inventory includes everything from still life paintings to abstract art.

Knollwood Antiques will be displaying a booth of decorative items and antique furniture from the United States, Europe, and Asia. The booth promises to be a designer’s delight. Marc Witus will be exhibiting, with a booth filled with antiquarian treasures, from 18th century silver boxes to paintings to English 18th and 19th century pottery. Fair Trade Antiques have treasures from South Asia and India, including furniture and hall lamps and lanterns.  Lorraine Wambold will be showing high-end estate jewelry. Her slogan is “Life’s Too Short for Ordinary Jewelry.” In her booth you will find a variety of beautiful pieces, including her specialty: jewelry with yellow diamonds. Other jewelers will include a pair of exhibitors who create their own unique objects. Sorab and Roshi of Greenwich, CT, make exquisite one-of-a-kind jewelry that is both bold, chic and sculptural.  A combination of gemstones and natural material in each piece creates a unique item that true connoisseurs look for.

The Ridgewood Art and Antiques Show promises to be a delight for the collector and designer, with treasures to be discovered in an intimate and inviting atmosphere.

The show will run on Saturday, June 6 from 10-6 and June 7 from 11-5. For more information, contact Debbie Turi at 973-464-9793, or dturi1@verizon.net. Website is dturiantiqueshows.com.
