Internationally renowned jewelry creator Wallace Chan has announced his first-ever exhibition in New York with TEFAF New York Fall, a new fair of The European Fine Art Foundation to be held at the Park Avenue Armory, Oct. 21-26, 2016.

As the first and only Chinese jewelry artist invited to exhibit at TEFAF New York Fall, Wallace Chan will show alongside 93 strictly selected leading experts displaying works from antiquity through the early 20th century.

"My experience at the Maastricht TEFAF earlier this year encouraged me to participate at its New York Fall edition. I am presenting 40 jewelry pieces and a 2.2-metre Rise of Heart titanium-gemstone sculpture. From the doorknob to the displays and showcases, I am creating a space that offers my audience a unique experience embodying the essence of my creations – my admiration for the universe. I am looking very much forward to my first-time exhibition in New York," says Wallace Chan.

TEFAF is universally regarded as the world’s leading art fair, showcasing works of art and antiques of the finest quality. The March 2016 edition of the fair in Maastricht presented 270 of the world’s leading galleries from 20 countries, totaling more than 7,000 years of art, attracted more than 75,000 visitors, representatives from 254 museums around the globe, and collectors from over 60 countries.

Founded in early 2016, TEFAF’s inaugural New York Fall edition will begin with an Opening Night Reception on Oct. 21. The beneficiaries of the Opening Night Reception will be the Society of Memorial Sloan Kettering as well as the acclaimed cultural programs produced by the Park Avenue Armory. Info: www.tefaf.com
