Interior designer Steven Favreau, one of the top interior designers in the Boston and San Francisco areas, will be featured in two events during the Third Annual Boston Design Week, a 12-day citywide design festival, taking place March 30 – April 10. Favreau will be the Master of Ceremonies for Design New England’s “Design Showdown.” He will also be a panelist for the “Junior League of Boston 45th Anniversary Show House,” a program at the 9th Annual AD20/21 Art and Design Show.
Steven Favreau’s dramatic residential interior design brings together the best of contemporary interior design with classic elements, courageously mixing current styles with fine antiques, vibrant colors, bold textures and whimsical, surprising or even irreverent elements. Throughout 2016, Favreau is partnering with one of the world’s largest manufacturers of fine fabrics, Robert Allen, to share his long-standing passion for their fabrics in a program titled “My Year with Robert Allen,” being promoted as #MYWRA. Favreau will serve as the Robert Allen Brand Ambassador to the design community nationwide, with appearances during Boston Design Week and other top design events across the country.
With Favreau as the Master of Ceremonies for the second consecutive year, the final round of Design New England’s Design Showdown will take place Friday, April 1, 6:00pm-8:30pm, at the Boston Design Center. Design Showdown is a competition that challenges design students to imagine an innovate, functional, and socially responsible live/work space. The competition is open to students currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in interior design or interior architecture and culminates in a live presentation of students’ designs with one student taking home top honors. The final, live event is open to the public. RSVP to DNEShowdown.EventBrite.com.
Favreau will also appear as special program panelist at AD2021 highlighting his participation in the Junior League of Boston 45th Anniversary Show House. As the Third Annual Boston Design Week comes to a close, this final program will look forward to the 2016 Show House opening this May and offer guests an exclusive first look at the historic Nathaniel Allen House along with the opportunity to meet Favreau and additional Show House designers: Gerald Pomeroy of Gerald Pomeroy Interiors and Mally Skok of Mally Skok Interior Design, Fabrics and Wallpapers. Favreau will be transforming two of the first-floor rooms in the Show House, designing a library and an art gallery highlighting Robert Allen’s versatile product offerings including their textiles, furniture lines, and upcoming 2016 collections. The program will take place Sunday, April 10 at 2pm and it is free and open to the public with a reservation. RSVP at AD2021JrLeague.EventBrite.com.
