New VP heralded as American Art standout in auction, academic communities
Heritage Auctions has announced that Aviva Lehmann has been promoted to Vice President and Director of American Art.
“Aviva is a universally respected and admired expert in the American Art community,” Heritage Auctions Co-Chairman Jim Halperin said. “Her wealth of knowledge has been vital to Heritage Auctions’ growth within the American Art auction business.”
Lehmann joined Heritage Auctions’ New York office in 2013 with an extensive résumé that included a stint as Vice President, Specialist in American Art at Christie’s, where she was instrumental in helping the American Art department set dozens of auction records and doubling the value of mid-season auctions.
Her professional expertise is supplemented by extensive academic work in the American Art field.
