Bidsquare Gallops Past $1M in Online Sales During Coeur d’Alene’s $16M Art Auction

The single largest event in the field of classic Western and American art took place this past Saturday, July 29 when The Coeur d'Alene Art Auction's Fine Western and American Art auction exceeded $16M, selling over $1M to winning bidders online on Bidsquare.

The top selling lot of the auction was William R. Leigh's A Close Call selling for $1,115,000.

The top selling lot online in Coeur d'Alene's auction was Bob Kuhn's The Rustle of Mice, selling for $83,300.
Scenic imagery continued to create bidding wars online, as both W. Herbert Dunton's, October and Ernest Blumenschein's Mountain Landscape each sold for $50,575.
Two scenes created in the 1920's continued high bidding with Dean Cornwell's Bedside selling online for $50,757 and W. H. D. Koerner, The Pitcher and the Well selling for $47,600.
Rounding out the top selling lots online was Richard Schmid's Summer Lillies selling for $47,600.
