ArtWorks ADL: Justice, Advocacy & Art is the premier art exhibition, fundraiser, and auction highlighting the mission of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment for all. The goal of the event is to engage, empower and educate the New York City community about the mission and impact of ADL through art.
ArtWorks ADL will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Chelsea Skylight Modern and will feature an open wine bar, hors d’ouevres, and music. The event production is by Magnetic. This year's exhibition, themed Imagine a World Without Hate ® and curated by art advisor Amy Sande-Friedman, will feature over 20 works from leading and emerging artists, including Massimo Vitali, Shepard Fairey, and Takashi Murakami. Guests will have the opportunity to bid on the artworks through a silent auction.
ArtWorks ADL will celebrate ADL’s achievements over the last 101 years as the voice of securing justice and fairness to all who have faced injustice, hatred or bigotry. Since the first exhibition held in New York in 2012, ArtWorks ADL has crossed generations andhas been held in New York, Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, West Palm Beach, St. Louis and Detroit. Over 240 artists have participated nationwide impacting almost 2,000 attendees and raising close to $1 million for ADL. The Anti-Defamation League was founded in 1913 "to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all." Now the nation's premier civil rights/human relations agency, ADL fights anti-Semitism and all forms of bigotry, defends democratic ideals and protects civil rights for all.
