NEW YORK, NY – Chelsea’s Agora Gallery will feature the original work of Richard Greene in Chelsea International Photography Competition Exhibition. The exhibition opens February 19 and runs through February 28, 2019 with an opening reception on Thursday, February 21 from 6-8 pm. Any art lover who enjoys thought-provoking artworks and meeting talented and interesting artists is encouraged to attend.

About the Artist

Richard Greene brings to photography a unique personal history. As a trained classical violinist and Bluegrass Fiddle Master, his non-stop career as a touring musician, recording artist and educator spanned from 1960 to 2013. At the same time he has been obsessed with photography, from home darkroom explorations to today’s digital revolution. Richard's four primary musical goals have always been Expression, Innovation, Technique and Composition. In applying these same intentions to his photography he finds that musical and photographic compositions are actually quite the same: both depend entirely on the artistic placement of real or imagined elements, both start before using the instrument, both start with seeing.
