Lawrence Fine Art will highlight a grouping of early deco works by modernist master Rolph Scarlett at Boston's AD20/21 Art & Design of the 20th & 21st Centuries, March 27-30.  The gallery will also feature  works by pop and graffiti artists LA ROC, Sen2 and Vicki DaSilva and a grouping of pastels by Suzanne LaFleur reminiscent of Joan Mitchell. LaFleur was recently awarded the Art Spririt Foundation Gold Medal for Pastel, awarded by the National Arts Club, 2014. The gallery will also show works by Japanese-American artist Etsuko Ichikawa who paints with molten glass on paper. Finally, the gallery will offer strong ceramic works by the likes of Tiffany, Saturday Evening Girls and Newcomb, among others.

"We've decided to 'mix it up' a bit," for this show," said Gallery Director Howard Shapiro. "Art and design combinations have become more eclectic."

The Scarlett works come from the collection of noted Scarlett collector Sam Esses and have never been exhibited before. "We continue to be amazed at the quality of Scarlett's oeuvre across styles and eras," said Shapiro.

The gallery has recently shown a number of graffiti artists with great success and is bringing a number of those to the show.  "These kinds of works really resonate with a modern collector," said Shapiro. He noted that street and graffiti art are very much in the public eye, as the Museum of the City of New York is currently presenting "City as Canvas: Graffiti Art from the Collection of Martin Wong."

AD20/21 will take place from March 27-30 at the Cyclorama in Boston.
