The 2022 World Habitat Day (WHD 2022) is celebrated globally on October 3 under the theme "Mind the Gap. Leave No One and Place Behind" which looks at the problem of growing challenges in cities and human settlements that have been exacerbated by the triple ‘C’ crises — COVID-19, climate and conflict.
Artist Selva Ozelli is holding her art show Art in the Time of Corona 7 - Recovery Roses on World Habitat Day at the UN Habitat. Her art show is part of her series of art shows exploring the links between pollution and the pandemic. In this art show, coronavirus is depicted in the form of roses since the pandemic is on its way to a recovery and includes a portrait of Dr. Ugur Sahin the CEO of BioNTech, which helped develop one of the major vaccines against COVID-19.

Cities and local governments play a front-line role in responding to crises and emergencies, as well as in planning for an inclusive, healthy, resilient, and green future. To meet these goals Kizilay --Turkish Red Crescent which is the largest humanitarian organization in Turkey and is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement -- is holding a health walk on October 3-4 across cities in Turkey as well as in New York.
