About the Artist

The vibrant, energetic landscape paintings of Western Australian artist Jayne Rolinson are informed by her childhood growing up in the bush. Drawing on memories of space, reflecting light, colors and vastness, and her deep appreciation and respect for nature, Rolinson combines different media to produce abstract artwork that is both defined and delicate. Her unique process layers bold brush strokes from oils and acrylics with intricate markings from a palette knife. She then allows her intuition to guide her, as she works to capture the energy, moods and changing seasons of the breathtaking Australian landscape. Pieces like Barren Land and Secret Place aim to conjure a sense of belonging and lasting connection to Mother Earth.

Rolinson is an award-winning artist who studied Visual Art at the Durack Institute of Technology. . She now lives on acreage near a small coastal fishing town of Dongara in Western Australia with her family, where she works out of her home studio. Rolinson facilitates art workshops and runs courses that motivate women to be the best version of themselves.
