JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – On Saturday, July 30th, guests at a special art event in the ProSource of Jacksonville showroom will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with authentic artworks by the master Surrealist, Salvador Dalí. The event will cater to individuals interested in learning more about the artist’s life and body of work, even if they are unfamiliar with Dali’s art.

Baterbys Art Gallery of Orlando, Central Florida’s largest art gallery, invites everyone to attend this important art event and live auction, hosted by ProSource of Jacksonville, at 5250 Sunbeam Road. Admission is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring guests, to enjoy an evening of educational talks on an array of artworks by this unique and gifted artist.

Salvador Dalí undoubtedly was one of the most prolific and intriguing artists of the 2oth century. In his art, a fascination for classical painting is visible through his realistic style and is combined with the influence of fellow Spaniards Picasso and Miró’s unclassifiable shapes. Most commonly associated with Surrealism, Dalí was known for his dream-like imagery and flamboyant persona.

Baterbys hopes to amaze guests by showcasing Dali’s creativity and contributions to the modern art world. Alexandria Trsek, a resident auction associate and fine art specialist with Baterbys, said, “Our art auctions are upbeat and educational, so our guests never fail to tell me how much fun they had. We want everyone to leave our auctions counting the days until our next event.”

Attendees will have the chance to bid on and own museum-quality artworks by Salvador Dalí, as well as works by equally renowned masters such as Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Joan Miró, Peter Max and others, to include a selection of works from the contemporary and decorative art. Hours of the event are 5-8 pm Eastern time, with the live auction preview beginning at 5 pm.
