NEW YORK, NY – Chelsea’s Agora Gallery will feature the original work of Anna Weichert in A Rich Spring Profusion. The exhibition opens April 18 and runs through May 8, 2019 with an opening reception on Thursday, April 18 from 6-8 pm. Any art lover who enjoys thought-provoking artworks and meeting talented and interesting artists is encouraged to attend.

About the Artist

Incorporating a range of subjects, the oil paintings of Anna Weichert always reveal a person or an object from a distance. With an eye for natural and manmade architecture, Weichert’s works have an almost photographic quality, emphasizing the limits of the frame wherein her subject is located.

The Man in the Closet 4 has two frames: the closet where a naked man is perched on a ladder and the border of the canvas itself. This gives the overall impression of looking through a window; the viewer becomes a voyeur, distanced from what she looks onto.
