NEW YORK, NY – Chelsea’s Agora Gallery will feature the original work of William Ingham in A Rich Spring Profusion. The exhibition opens April 18 and runs through May 8, 2019 with an opening reception on Thursday, April 18 from 6-8 pm. Any art lover who enjoys thought-provoking artworks and meeting talented and interesting artists is encouraged to attend.

About the Artist

Agora Gallery is pleased to include the work of artist William Ingham in the upcoming exhibition A Rich Spring Profusion. Spellbinding and turbulent, every William Ingham painting feels packed to the gills, with sweeping gestures, wayward lines, and vibrant splashes of colors all competing for the viewer’s attention. This constant diversity keeps the viewer on their toes as they try to make sense of his otherworldly forms.

Ingham's paintings are rich in color and sweeping movement, and are once dreamlike and organic. Large canvasses and concentrated hues further his explorations of scale, stroke and line resulting in lavish and complex paintings which are carefully and deliberately produced. Drawing from Abstract Expressionism, Ingham infuses the work with the chaos and vitality of life. Different elements rush, swell and collide across the frame as if the earth were taken over by some apocalyptic hurricane. A Rich Spring Profusion will be on view from April 18th until May 8th, 2019 with an opening reception on Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 6-8 PM. All are welcome to attend.
