Greene & Greene Blacker House Table Lamp Sells for a Record $502,000 in Rago's $7.2 Million Dollar 20th Century Design Auction, October 16-18

GREENE & GREENE BLACKER HOUSE TABLE LAMP SELLS FOR A RECORD $502,000 IN RAGO’S $7.2 MILLION DOLLAR 20TH CENTURY DESIGN AUCTION, OCTOBER 16-18.
Lambertville, NJ: Rago Arts and Auction Center's 20th C. Decorative Arts and Design Auction brought $7,259,000 October 16, 17, and 18, 2015. The top lot of the day was a Greene & Greene Blacker House table lamp which brought $502,000, besting Sotheby’s $470,500 sale of a Greene & Greene lotus lantern (also from the Blacker House) in December of 2010. Also of note is a record price for a Robsjohn Gibbings for Widdicomb Mesa coffee table, which sold for $162,500 and a Paul Evans Deep Relief cabinet which sold for $75,000, breaking the prior Rago record.
