POP-UP PREVIEW OF RARE LALIQUE JEWELRY AND OTHER PERIOD GEMS IN NYC ON NOVEMBER 20.
New York, NY: Rago Auctions and McMillen, Inc. have combined forces for an exhibit of rare Lalique and other extraordinary jewelry at McMillen Inc.'s Upper East Side showroom on November 20. The property displayed goes up for auction on Sunday, December 6 at 11 am EST. Among the many fine jewels on display and available for inspection are highlights from the collection of author and scholar Dora Jane Janson. Among the many pieces in this extraordinary 90 lot collection are a ca. 1890 diamond thistle corsage ornament; a Rene Lalique "Ombelles" horn and diamond hair comb, ca 1900; and articulated wisteria brooch, ca. 1900, attributed to Vever; a gold cane handle by Rene Lalique in the form of a nude, winged nymph; and an extraordinarily modern Japanesque gold bracelet, 1879-1890.
Interested individuals are invited to preview from 8 am to 8 pm on November 20, with no appointment necessary. McMillen, Inc. is located at 155 East 56th St. (5th floor), just blocks from the New York Art, Antique & Jewelry Show, which opens the night of November 20 at the Park Avenue Armory.
