Gray’s solo artist auction of William Richards’ chromogenic color photographs was held yesterday in Cleveland at 11:00 am. The collection had an outstanding 100% sell through rate, setting a record for Gray’s Auctioneers. Richards’ unique prints were ahead of their time; his experiments with light and reflection began in his basement darkroom in the 1950s. Gray’s is now thrilled that Richards’ pieces will be seen and enjoyed by people throughout the world, as they are meant to be.
