Judith Miller, the well-known expert from BBC TV’s Antiques Roadshow, will be celebrating 40 years in the antiques world at the forthcoming Art & Antiques for Everyone Fair at the NEC, Birmingham from 28 November – 1 December 2019.
Judith Miller was the co-founder of the world-famous Millers Antiques Price Guide, a book that continues to be the ‘bible’ for collectors. The Millers list of publications also includes many authoritative guides to a wide range of collecting topics. They will be exhibiting at the Art & Antiques for Everyone fair and Judith will be signing books. Born in Galashiels, Scotland, Judith Miller first began collecting antiques while studying history at Edinburgh University. In 1979, she co-wrote the Miller's Antiques Price Guide with her first husband, Martin Miller and during the 1980s, the Millers Antiques Price Guide became a publishing phenomenon, regularly topping the UK list of best-selling hard backs year after year. Today, in addition to appearing as an expert on television, Judith is a regular contributor to newspapers and magazines including The Scotsman, the Financial Times, the Saturday Daily Telegraph, Canadian Home and Country magazine and to US Traditional Home and Country Living. She also regularly lectures at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and the Smithsonian. Judith will be speaking in daily talks at the fair and reminiscing on her forty years in the antiques trade. She will be joined by fellow TV antiques expert and author Mark Hill who is also speaking and offering for sale interesting pieces drawn from his private collection.
Says Fair Organiser Dan Leyland: ‘We are delighted to be joined at the fair by such an eminent expert. We will be celebrating with Judith as she looks back on 40 years as an author and expert who has done so much to popularise antiques and collecting.’ Judith Miller will be available for interviews, please contact Duncan Phillips Tel: 01460 308970 / duncan@antiquespr.com.

As one exhibitor explained: ‘People are seeking to buy unique and interesting pieces, items that have a timeless aesthetic appeal and add character to the home.’
At recent NEC fairs, Arts & Crafts, Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Scandinavian works of art have all proved extremely popular, while Mid-Century Modern, 20th Century works of art selected contemporary pieces have broadened the fair’s appeal to younger collectors. The fair continues to offer a fantastic range of traditional antiques, from Asian art and artefacts, fine art, early pottery, designer lighting, classic English town and country furniture, fine porcelain to 18th and 19th century glass, bronzes, silver and jewellery.
