Lumiere London
In the new year London will welcome back Lumiere - the capital's largest arts festival. Running from 18 -21 January 2018, the spectacular light festival will see more than 40 international artists use light to reimagine iconic landmarks such as Westminster Abbey and the National Theatre.
The four-day light festival, designed to lift spirits in the dark days of winter, will once again welcome millions to the capital, transforming the city into a vast nocturnal outdoor exhibition space and offering audiences new and surprising perspectives on familiar sites.
The bigger, bolder and brighter 2018 festival includes new festival destinations, which, for the first time, will expand the festival footprint to include sites both north and south of the River Thames.
Commissioned by the Mayor of London and created by Artichoke, the UK’s leading producers of art in the public realm, Lumiere London is completely free to attend.
